single storey extension. 24 foot long x 8 foot wide. sloping roof.
above the door is 4 rows (in height) of bricks - at row 2 there is a crack right through a brick and up the joint line (with me so far?....) the gap in the brick approx 1-2 cm wide - i know its a wide question but what cud have caused this? there is not other movement ie subsidence - cud it be roof joist?
im only a woman - be gentle with me |

Ok, as you're playing hard to get, we'll have to do it by feel
Is it vertical?
Is it tapered and, if so, wider at the top or the bottom?
Did you really mean 1-2cm or mm? |

right then - its straight up over 3 courses of bricks thru the mortice of brick one and three and straight thru the brick at level 2.
does that make sense? -
it is approx 1 inch wide. |
