Help! Dismantling a concrete garage

Sponsored Links
First rule of getting rid of garages and sheds. Stick on ebay, that way someone will come along, dismantle it and pay you!

If no interested parties then buy a sledgehammer and hire a skip. See if there are any bolts on the inside that can be undone.

Thank you for your suggestions, unfortunately can't go with the first as when we moved in 24 years ago it ws recommended that it be demolished! Wasn't sure if I needed a 'professional'. Thanks again.

You won't need a professional, but you will need a hard hat and goggles.

If the roof is asbestos sheeting, then you will also need a high quality dust mask. Give it a good soaking with a hose then remove very carefully. Don't break that up whatever you do, and unlikely you'll be allowed to skip it.

it will need to be double bagged and taped up. most council dumps will accept it as they have containers for it.

Is it definitely not reusable?

IF it can be reused then put it on Freecycle, someone will certainly want it, come & help dismantle & remove it.
