I will try to give plenty of info and be brief. I have an apollo CH system. DO not know the model#. The hot water heater runs both the CH circuit and the house hot water taps. Only one inlet and outlet to the WH. Pump is located in the blower housing with the radiator.
Last year, the hot water heater tank burst. Yeah, big mess. I replaced it with as close as I could in capacity, first hour rating, etc.... Ever since I replaced it, when the pump runs, the pipes are either making or conveying some god-awful noise.
I have already tried the following to correct it. Insulated the CH pipes to place padding between pipe and joist. Completely re-piped both inlet and outlet to ensure no blockage.
Hot water tap lines do not make any noise. Running hot water while running heater does not affect noise. While in crawl space, inspecting blower unit, noise does not appear to emit from pump, although the noise only occurs while pump is running.
I\\\'m lost. Please help.
