One wall in one of the bedrooms is formed by the sloping roof. This has no insulation in it so makes the room red hot or freezing cold. Is there any way to insulate it without removing the plasterboard? (I was think of something like they do for cavity wall insulation?)

We are currently building a roof with a 'raked' ceiling. There will be 100mm of celotex between the rafters and 40mm across and beneath them, then plasterboard and skim.

Above the insulation will be a 25mm air gap along with breathable membrane.

This is a standard cold roof application and pretty much the only successful (condensation free) way to build. There are variations and there are warm deck options but all would involve disruption i.e. removing the roofing material or removing the plasterboard.
