hi there...I am currently installing a new kitchen which has pretty basic lighting. One light switch which controls 2 ceiling lights.I would like to replace the existing switch with a dual dimmer switch array.I am going to have 3 downlighters in wall mounted units in conjunction with the existing ceiling lights. The other dimmer is for the under pelmet worktop lighting...2 simple mains operated strip lights.Well, thats the plan .I am quite happy to get it certified but i would rather do the donkey work myself.Looking for advice or a schematic to lead the way.thanks for your help.

assuming you are ony going to run the cables then you will have to:

run a new cable to your light switch to existing light
run a cable from existing light to "pelmet lights"
the new down lights will have to be either mains or if 12v have a dimable transformer

cable must be 1mm twin and earth

if you can lift the floor boards in room above, much easier for ceiling lights
