Hello,
I have replaced these tiles before, but have just done those within easy reach, without having to go onto the roof.
I have tried roof ladders to try n spread my weight to reduce any damage, however I've discovered I can't get the ladders close enough to remove the damaged tile, as the higher courses under the ladders need to move slightly. I tried moving the ladders to one side but that puts the damaged tile out of reach.
Do I have to stand directly onto the tiles? the reason I ask is that they are fragile.

Roof ladder with a hook on the top. 2 bags of softening tied on -1@ top and 1near bottom . This holds the ladder off the roof.

We have used old sofa cushions in the past but, after a while, they do end up stinking.
