use kitchen sink taps inthe bathroom?

is there any reason I can't use kitchen sink taps in the bathroom?
the taps from the old kitchen sink are nice ones, but the new sink is a single hole type, so a mixer is needed..
the ones in the bathroom are rather grotty and I'd like to put the kitchen ones in there..
they will be taller than the old ones but I don't mind that, it'll make getting my big hands under them a bit easier..

They will fit on the basin as 1/2 in BSP but might look naff. If you are happy........

you don't plan on inviting them to look around your bathroom do you ?

but if you are that worried no your not breaking any regs.
