ELECTRIC SHOWER CUTTING OFF

Hi guys, a bit of expertise help required.

My partners electric shower keeps switching off during use. It stays off for a period of time and then will work again for another period of time.

There is no rythem to on off times though the last time it worked for 3 mins and then was off for over 30 mins before working again.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be the cause of this.

what shower is it ?
is it loosing the power light or just water flow ?

by what you are saying it just sounds like the water flow.

Its the water flow, and it starts again if left switched on eventually...

No idea of the manufacturer, but i'll find out

solenoid valve is at fault.
when the solenoid valve fails use a multi meter to check the resistance on the solenoid coil.
should be about 3.4 ohms.
isolate the shower power first.
