WM standpipe drain

just relocating my washing machine
does the trap on the base of the standpipe have to be on the floor or can it be say 700mm above the floor?

Did you mean 700? You do need a vertical bit above it, and at that height a lot of water will run back into the WM. Try the Appliances section.
