I have just power flushed my microbore system prior to fitting a new boiler. The system was working OK with no cold areas in the rads and no banging in the boiler .

The dump water ran clear from each rad and from the final system drain.

After removing the old boiler I found that the water dripping from the old flow pipe was black with fine particles and the interior of the pipe has a coating of black muck. Am I just being fussy or have I got to do it again?

Because of access problems I connected the power flusher by breaking into the return pipe just before the boiler, rather than at the circulator but I cant see that should make a difference.

Chemical was Sentinel X800 Jetflow. Didn't note the make of machine, maybe Nord**** Port......

Rad valves all single entry

Never worked with x800 myself, I use fx2 for pf.
Did you do the rads 1 by 1? both directions? Did you get a lot of dirt out?

Machine was Nordstrom Proplus

First I prefushed and drained the system, refilled and ran at temperature for 2 hours with X800 added. Then I flushed all rads 1 by 1 for 10 mins each (more for first 2) followed by flushing to dump for similar period. Divertor valve held at 'heat' position when flushing rads except first on when at 'M' and final flush

Water was opaque black during rad flushing but couldn't see any solid lumps
