I have just built a new bathroom with the partition walls out of Marine Ply. Although the surface is mainly flat it dips where the screws are. Is it possible to level it with some sort of filler compound or shall i use a deaper layer of adhesive?

if the indentations are not to deep the adhesive will take care of it.

When you say it dips, do you mean a small indentation like we would expect, or is it something more sinister? Screw holes would easily be accommodated by tile adhesive - and there is no problem to answer. If your marine ply is bending in gentle curves then it's more of a puzzle - and more likely to be impossible - both to understand and to fix.

I'll explain in more detail.
The bathroom is about 2.4m square with two walls thermalite block, one wall is a partion and the other is half brick, half partition. Its part of a new extension above the garage. I placed a straightedge on various parts of the walls. There is about a 5-6mm max gap over about 450mm in various places. I assume its where the i've screwed the board and its distorted over the block work. I have the option of removing the ply and getting a plasterer to render the wall and tile directly onto it but feels like " two steps forward and three steps back". Before you all say it....i should have done it right in the first place icon_lol.gif

Dringer most of the guys on here likely to give you an answer are usually out at work at 4.30pm but will usually help if they can when they log on and later in the evening you are more likely to get a quicker response.
Just be patient I'm sure the job isn't that urgent, but I wouldn't worry too much about dips of that sort of magnitude you shoud be able to take them out with the adhesive
