Pipe Boxing

I would like to know if there is an alternative to the box piping I keep seeing on the internet, which is like a white plastic one.

I have radiator pipes that stick out of the skirting and want to conceal them with a walnut wood like finish, but have not seem anything of the sort after looking at numerous sites.

I'm guessing that anything resembling wood would be impracicle due to the heat? Or would it?

Any ideas on where I can purchase boxing that isn't just white plastic?

no plenty of heating pipes are boxed in wood
