For DEAs out there
I am always faced with problems when comes to boiler, either there is no GC number or model name or number, especially the old boilers... bare in mind there is no instruction booklet of any kind; my question is this
' where would you go and find out these informations, is there a website that can help '?

Try gotoplumbing.co.uk They have mountains of boiler manuals. you will need the GC number though. Every boiler or gas appliance has a gc number, sometimes difficult to locate but search around and you can normally find it.

scatman can you quote any gas appliance or gas component for that matter that doesnt have a GC No: i thought that a GC No: was the identifier for every gas part

THANK YOU all for your replies. I know that every boiler should have GC number but there are times when you can't see it. I am not an engineer so I am not allowed to open the boiler apart from the little flap.
