replacing consumer unit

can anybody confirm that after changing a consumer unit i need to get the electricity board in to check the system. iI would also be grateful if anybody could direct me to a good discount suppler.

your electricity supplier SHOULD be there as the consumers unit is finished, they check it then if they say all is ok, they will then put the main fuse in and seal it.
