i know the hse regulation states that the flue terminal for an open flued boiler should be 600 mm from the pitch of the roof but is this also the case for a room sealed combi .... ?
if not what if any is the regulation ??

Same unless MIs state different

how can it be the same or as per MI's? the dimension of 600mm above the ridge (or 1500mm horizontally to the nearest point of the roof) is taken from BS5400 and relates purely to open flued appliances. each boiler has its own vertical flue kit therefore the dimension sticking through the roof is already determined and is not adjustable, refer to MI's for clearences from velux windows etc
