I have just changed a double radiator for a single one. The old radiator had not been used for a long time. So after I'd fitted the new radiator I started to open the valves,I could hear the water in the new radiator filling I also opened the bleeding valve to let any air out,But the radiator will not warm up. Could anyone out there help me to solve this problem. Could it be with the radiator being off for so long one of the valves is blocked if so how do I replace them.Waiting for someone out there to HELP!

Vented system? Check that the F/E tank in the loft is filling.
Sealed system? Add pressure to the boiler as the rad fills.
For both, if you think there could be a valve problem, turn both off, disconnect from the rad (collecting whatever water there's in there) open each valve one at a time, and allow the water to flow clear.
Reconnect the rad, bleed and try again.
John :)
