installing central heating with a concrete floor

I have a terraced house approximately 100 years old. There is no central heating but I am thinking of having it installed.I wonder how pipes would be fitted on the ground floor as the floor is concrete.Would it need channels cutting into the floor?

Most likely dropped down from above to feed downstairs radiators. Pipework would be surface or hidden away as much as possible.

Doubt many companies would want to get involved in chasing concrete etc

The floor is by far the easiest option providing no expensive wood floors are fitted.
In might only be a s&c screed anyway.
