Hotpoint Ultima FDW80 - Door Error

Hi,

I am continuously getting a DOOR code flashing up on my Hotpoint dishwasher.

The wash cycle will not start as a result.

I have checked tray alignments, checked and cleaned seals and have run out of ideas.

Can anyone help?

does the door lock click when shut ,check its not flicked over.

Hi

What do you mean by flicked over? - there is a metal square "bar" which slots into the door.

Should I be checking the mechanism within the door?

I have just looked at the door mechinism - it now seems to have flicked over while the door is open - the machine now starts with door open....help!

thin screwdriver in the lock to flick over the plastic catch , also poss the spring is missing in the lock ,remove the front top panel to see the lock easy and cheap to replace.
