I'm thinking of putting up a sink with semi pedestal and hiding the copper water pipes and plastic waste pipe. The wall is an old style partition wall(between bathroom and bedroom) where the bricks are built resting on their sides therefore about 3in thick + plaster. I will probably dot/dab eventually then tile over. Will it be possible to hide the waste pipe in this wall? I presume i will end up chiselling or even taking out a section of full brickwork

It may be worth your while building a false wall in front of this one if you have the room. It will make it easier to plumb into as well as provide secure fixing points for your sink.

It will also mean you won't have to replaster and decorate the bedroom on the other side of the wall. Finally, it will provide a firm and reliable background for you to tile on (MR plasterboard being best in a bathroom)

Go with Dex...I wouldn`t trust a semi - ped hanging on a wall like you`ve got
