kitchen taps

I have changed my kichen taps for new ones, everthing is ok except for a leak from the nut joining the bottom of the tap to the supply.
I have tried to tighten it up and have put plummers tape on the tap thread but still no joy.....any ideas?

tape on the thread won't do nothing its not the thread thats leaking.
is their a fibre washer on the tap connector ?

no there is no washer on the tap connector, it is a brass connector and i didn`t notice a washer on the old tap and the hot tap doesn`t have a washer and that doesn`t leak

If you're using a swivel you'll need a 1/2" fibre washer, it sounds like there's no seal ATM

no not quite the same as it looks like a coupler with a nut both ends
