Full plans building regs - where do I stand with roof calcs?

If I submit a detailed full-plans building regs application which specifies roof timber thicknesses and fastening methods, and they're approved, might I then still be asked for structural engineering calcs at a later date, or is it 'in the bag' so to speak?

It's a very simple front extension/porch roof design, as you may have seen from my other thread in the building forums.

Thanks

If the design of the roof is "typical" then there will be no need for calc's.

I think yours is as typical as they get.

Okay excellent. So I take it they're used to seeing lean-to roofs and if they don't think I've put enough anchor bolts into the plates on the existing house wall then they'll request a correction rather than ask for calcs.

Thanks

Correct.

So long as you use the correct section timber and adequate fixings then you will be ok.
