electric shower playing up

Hi,

We have an electric shower that does not warm the water enough.
But if I open the cold water tap in the bathroom sink then the water from the shower is warm. Could the problem be that the cold water pressure going to the electric shower is too high for the shower to warm it enough?
any advice would be appreciated.

what shower is it ?
has it always been an issue ?

I'll check which manufacturer made the shower. It is an electric one.
The prob;em has been there since we first moved in.
