i just changed the diverter valve in my baxi 80e and i can't get the thing to work now. the problem is that although the pump runs the pin that operates the microswitch does not move. i checked for bent pin, torn diaphram, blocked hole etc. but it all seems fine as you would expect it to being a new valve. if anyone has any suggestions for what i've done wrong i would be very grateful to here them.

Put it on DHW and manually operate that flow switch. Does it work?

Did you bleed the pump after refilling? ( OK then, did you refill ? )

Is the pump impeller full of dirt?

the boiler fires up but makes very strange noises. was too scared to leave it running for long enough to see if water got hot.

did refill, checked cap on pump bleed valve was not tight, should i of done anything else? the noises could well of been air but the bleed is supposed to be automatic.

did check pump was clear.
