Looking at this to replace an old asbestos cement garage roof - which wil be disposed of by a licensed asbestos removal contractor.

Anyone any experience and any knowledge of suppliers in Surrey area?

Google so far only shows me suppliers in Cumbria or West Midlands both of which attract a hefty delivery charge.

I would think Plastisol coated metal sheets would be a bit on the pricey side.

Why not look at fibre cement sheets or even Onduline rigid bitumen sheets, both of these are fairly readily available.

Give Coleman Roofing Supplies at Leatherhead a try, even if they don't keep any in stock they are part of a much larger concern (SIG) and can get it quite quickly

Thanks for that - client now not so keen on pretty colours so will probably go down the fibre cement route - which I see is also now available in colours other than grey.
