Oven light bulbs

The bulb in my oven is currently a 25w bulb but none of the replacements I can find will fit (the bulb head is too large for the glass case).

I assume there's no problem me replacing it with a 15w bulb (which has a smaller head).

Apart from the fact the light won't be as bright I guess?!

15w will be fine, it will be much dimmer than the 25w though.

Their 25w bulb is only slightly bigger than the 15w so maybe that would be ok for you?

We got a piece of furniture a few years ago, with 5 lights in it (one in each compartment). When it was delivered there were no lamps supplied. So we phoned the shop and they dropped them round. They were oven lamps, and fitted fine. But we never use these lights now anyway, so whenever the oven lamp blows we have plenty of spares
