BOILER BLOWING STAT

hello all i have a valliant turbo max 824e combi
each time i replace the mechanical room stat it keeps blowing i have used correct terminals and the problem is only recent previous stat lasted 5 years

any ideas?

make sure that you are not putting 240V through a room stat thats designed for low voltage.

already checked 230 v stat

But are you connecting the correct wire to each terminal?

What was wrong with the old stat?

What stat do you have now ?

Which colour wire goes to which terminal?
