how do i wire up the oven

im changing one electric free standin cooker for another. can i leave the wire allready in the wall and just attach it to the back of the new cooker????
if so how do i do it????
no idea and no money to pay someone to do it

could you give more info as to what you have?

Power of old cooker,
power of new,
size/type of cable used at the moment
Do you have the manufacturers instructions? What do they say?
