you cannot run two showers on one supply, as for the cable size, is the earth a single wire or a stranded one.
You will need 10mm² cable.
It is a bugger to work with.
In general, one electric shower per house. Most houses have a 23kw supply, some are less. This is for everything in your house. If two electric showers were fitted, some kind of interlock would be needed to stop them becoming energised together.
Dont forget to tell building control about your DIY electrical work under Part P.

Have a look at the cable. Often you can see the imprint written on it with cable sizes. This will be more difficult if it is old or painted though.
