Are xenon bulbs similar to halogen? Do they also give off heat? Want to put sconces in bathroom on both sides of mirror, want GOOD light for applying make-up, but not the heat of halogen. Any suggestions? Much appreciated!! Kat icon_confused.gif icon_confused.gif

xenon lamps are what you find in "strobe lights" (the ones with a really bright white light and flash fast) there are other "versions" for different applications, but that is what a xeneon lamp is most commonly found in (oh and large film projetors)

so no, they are not similar
