Hi has anybody any ideas on how to immobilise a MK 111 fiesta cheaply, like having a hidden switch some where inside the car. Many thanks

just what you said really, a hidden switch. Can either disable the starter circuit or the coil. Will be just as good as any off the shelf immobiliser until someone figures out where the switch is or which circuit has been immobilised.
If it was on a bmw or lambo, i'd suggest something a bit more elaborate, but as it's a fiesta..........

Cut the ignition live on the back of your ignition (blackbox) extend the cable and add your switch to where you want it.Just make sure that the cable and switch are rated to the same volts/amps as the ignition live.Your haynes manual should have a wiring guide for the ignition with colour codes.Oh and most important thing, Disconect your battery before you cut any cables and solder and heatshrink all your new joints.
The alternative is to buy one of those aftermarket db7 starter button kits? same concept and you get all the parts with it + wiring diagram.Cost around £15-£20 I think.
