Having my kitchen and bathroom re-fitted. Pretty good at DIY so can spot when/where job isn't being done properly... Unhappy with builders' standard of work so far (for example the washing machine they have just plumbed in has leaked all over the floor - their bad workmanship by their own admission). They are about to start on the bathroom but I feel very uneasy about this given the standards so far.
Do I have any rights at all when it comes to this? Is there any accountability mechanism for building work? Do I have any consumer rights?
PS This is not a small man-and-a-van outfit. It's a huge builders/kitchens company with many staff.

Yes, it's your money!
Ring the company head office and tell them that you will not part with any money until to your satisfaction, failing that mention "Fair Trading", they will jump icon_exclaim.gif
