Hi all

I will be fitting one of these this weekend http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/mx-neptune-thermostatic-bar-3224-18892 also ordered http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/bar-mixer-valve-fixing-kit-293-16361

The cold is mains fed and the hot is from a combi boiler, can I simply "T" joint off the hot and cold feed to the bath taps which is 15mm copper?

What would people recommend regarding compression/pushfit/soldered joints?

If using pushfit is it better to use copper, or plastic pipe with inserts??

Cheers

Andy

I prefer pushfit, no breathing in toxic fumes, (we will all die of cancer soon enough) no flux and solder residues to get stuck in shower valve, no burning surrounding area, no risk of heat damaging shower valve.

Cheers guys. As it happens removing the old tiles also removed all the old plaster too so have easy access for putting pipes in so not really a worry about access for soldering. The real questio I suppose is which is the most reliable and long lasting joint, soldered, compression or pushfit??
