Boiler is a Gloworm Fuel Save Mk2 installed 1985.
Both central heating and hot water work fine.
Sometimes during operation, when the water reaches temperature and the thermostat operates to shut off the burner ,the pilot light goes out. The pilot relights OK if the boiler is left for a few minutes.
There is no evidence of overheating as the system is quiet in operation. The problem does not seem to be the overheat stat because temporarily bridging it out does not stop the problem.
Any ideas ?
