Hi all,

Wife turned gas valve adjacent to boiler instead of isolator valve for our outside tap!
When no hot water, noticed that pilot light was out and can't get it to relight following the instructions given. i.e. depress gas valve operating button and operating ignitor button. Electricity supply off and thermostat switch to O.
Not sure if boiler was running when she did this but it was timed to be on for HW.
Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Some more info: pilot will not light at all, despite multiple, multiple actuations of the ignitor button.

I'm affraid there's nothing you can do here, all possibilities are within the case or gas checks, you'll need an RGI.

You can maybe check the ignition lead is still attatched to the back of the igniter button.

Thanks - got a pro in today - need new electrode and thermocouple and some good advice to get a newer boiler!
