Hello :D
I've laid a boatload of floating floor over polystyrene.
I assume one of the reasons behind the idea of the floor floating is for expansion.
But.
In my kitchen I want to build units from scratch and screw them to the floor.
Is this a no no, defeating the object?
Thanks.

Build the units so the feet are set back from the kick panel by an inch, cut away the floor under the feet, sit the kick panel on the floating floor.

Floor still able to move, clean edge at bottom of kick panel.

These floors are not always suitable for kitchens.
