Hi

The curved rubber seal that fits to the bottom of the curved glass screen is damaged but finding a replacement is like climbing Mt Everest.

It's should be a bog standard part but I've been to one or two specialists as well as DIY usual suspects. I know it depends on the glass width etc and will measure but I'm certain it's very common.

Advice on sourcing this part would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

No idea who made the screen and the bloke who did the job is useless and doen't return my calls. I just can't believe that they are not generally available as they obviously don't last forever.

Will look at the other catalogue though.

Hi Longshanks,
Please post a picture, it may be a Bathstore bath and shower screen.
We just had the Hertfordshire contract to replace all the Bathstore hinges.

Hi

Pictures of the shower screen and seal have now been uploaded to my album.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Long,
Just seen your pics.
I was right, your shower/bath is from Bathstore. Like I said we had the contract to change the hinges on these as they were falling off the wall. We were told by Bathstore that if the bottom seal was broken then we would advise the customer to go to their local branch and receive a FREE replacement as they were deteriorating. If their bottom seal was ok then we were to say nothing.

I take it the bath room was like that when you moved in, if so were your hinges upgraded?

Please feel free to come back to me

Hi

Thanks for your interest. We had our bathroom upgraded a year ago and the new shower bath, shower, sink, WC was installed then by a bloke who had done some for my brother.

Quality quite good but we have this problem with the seal and he's not returning my calls.
