does any one know the causes why a baxi solo 3 pfl would start up and run for only a set time and then overheat.
the 3 port valve , programmer and all stas are ok.
if i alter the thermostat/potentiometer on the front of the boiler it overheats quicker ?.
is it the temp sensor or overheat thermostat inside thats gone or is it lack of pressure ???
What a nightmare ..... :

i have taken the screw out of the middle of the pump and it seems to be turning, not fast, but turning still.
and it runs on over run .
however , i have been told that this boiler had a change of pump some 6 years ago just after it had been fitted .
would a pump not working as fast as it should cause this problem ?

check for a airlock, does the heat get around?
Does it overheat quicker on hot water?

thanks for your suggestion
I thought it might be an airlock but the furthest radiator gets hot/warm but no others and ive bled them all and they are filled with cold water.
the boiler cuts out quicker on heating but also cuts out on water but not as quick
