I have a problem with a Honeywell st9400c programmer. It is stuck in the on position with both lights on, on both channels. The only way to turn it on/off is to control it via the room stat.

The programmer is only a year old!

Is there anyway this can be fixed or is it a case of replacement?

Thanks a lot

I assume you can control the 'heating' via the room stat. It would have no effect on the hot water and the lights would still stay on.

If this is the case then you have a faulty unit. Bear in mind that programmer relays can often be welded on by short circuits elsewhere on the wiring, so it may not be a Honeywell problem.

It is not economically viable to repair these units. It will cost around £50 to replace, if needed. Who would open it up and repair to component level for £50?

Take the Programmer back to whoever sold it to you, it SHOULD be covered by a warrenty! ;)
