Having a fuse board changed,old won is a wylex and fitted on to a bit of wooden board,is the new one allowed to be fitted on the wood,thanks

Assuming the wood is mechanically sound, yes. However, a new CU is likely to be significantly larger than an old Wylex Standard or similar. Also, if the board is DNO owned, you shouldn't attach anything to it without their permission.
