Hello People, some help and advice please,

I have quite an old shower, a Triton Brazillia. It's very similar to a T80 underneath and I think my question will be relevant to most of the Triton electric shower range.

The water board (United Utilities ) in their infinite wisdom decided to turn the water off in the street without notice (they said it was an emergency) while my shower was running. They are trying to say that they are not responsible as my shower has got old seals and water could be going into the electrics. This is incorrect as I have replaced the seals in the past and there is no water entering the system. This is a battle that I cannot wait for any longer. Here is exactly what happened.

The showers water started to diminish and he shower started hissing (like a kettle without water) I turned the shower off and went into the street and saw the water board. They said that it will be ok and when the water is switched back on the shower will work again. It didn't. When the water was switched back on I started the shower and after about 2 seconds water started to pour out of the overflow. I was told that the valve safety device had failed (triton on the phone) and I would have to replace it. I did that today (tiny ball) and the water is going through the shower head again but it's cold. The red overheat light is on/ My question is how do I reset the shower to give hot water again. I have lost my job recently and cannot afford to get a plumber (and to be honest I'm quite handy if I'm pointed in the right direction)

Thank you all for any help given. Here is hoping.
