servis 1300 machine is going through the wash in few minutes. It will not spin properly but only drains the clothes (short spin). This is on cotton wash. Checked filter is fine. Machine will not spin at all even when set on spin. pump works fine and drains water well.

You could check the motor brushes. What is the model number of your machine?

The machine model is M6135, where are the brushes located and where I can purchase them?

Take off the back panel and you will find the motor is mounted under the drum. You will probably need to remove the motor to get at the screws securing the brushes. There are various online shops like Ezee-Fix in addition to sellers on ebay offering brushes. Check yours before ordering though. When fully worn there will be about 1/4" of carbon protruding from the brass holders.

Thanks.

Had brushes checked, they are still almost an inch long. There was no need to remove the motor, the machine was turned on the side and managed to get to the brushes. It was quite fiddly to put them back in.

The machine is only two years old and was not used that much. What else could it be?
(Programmer???) Help!

Another thing to check is the tacho magnet. This is a small magnet on the back end of the motor shaft and it can come loose or break up.

Hi - just had a look at the taco magnet while the machine is still on its side, there appears to be no obvious damage to it, still firmly secured inside the motor casing and in one piece. Any other ideas? Thanks.
