Philips fault

Philips (LG tube), L1.01 ? chassis? turns on, then turns off, then back on again, then off..

Not a fan of Philips, any ideas? I saw a service kit for £15, this 28" TV is being binned. Not mine.

For me Philips had bad power switches or tubes.

I had a similar problem once. Turned out to be the large electrolytic cap in the power module drying out.

Websearch says a small cap (47uF, 35V), near the LOPTX but its so small, can't see that being the issue..

Service kit has a 2w resistor, a diode, an 8 pinned chip, a transistor/regulator of some type, a surface mount cap, and something unidentifyable.

But no biggie, if someone has had this, would be nice to know what it was, for next time..

Cheers for the reply Joe-90
