Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help please

I want to connect a timer to an outside lighting circuit

I have two timers, one a merlin gerin and another with no name. They both have 4 connectors.

one is labelled 1,2,3,4 and it looks like a symbol to show 3 and 4 are switched

the merlin gerin shows 1 and 2 with symbol to show they are switched and live and neutral

I then have 2 wires live and nuetral for my lights.

Could someone tell me which go where as i am struggling a bit, not sure which i need to loop from to

Thanks loads

Andy

Are you talking about one of
R3035071-01.jpg
these?

It will require thee connections bottom pair line connection top left with clock symbol neutral and other switch connection to light.

However there are so many 24 hour timers without a picture all to easy to make a mistake.

hi thanks for your reply

have added a pic to my album of each,if this helps, didnt know how to upload to message

cheers

Andy

The one to left is same connections as one I linked to link L and 1 together and connect to line and connect neutral to N and line of lamp to 2.

1 on right 1 on bottom link to one of terminals at top and to line.
2 on bottom to neutral
Unused on top to lamp.

If you click on show my images then click on image you want to show.
