Double Glazed window sills

We have just had double glazing fitted on the upstairs only.

At the back the external window sills are the same as those that were replaced, ie, they look like normal window sills. They are about 3-4 inches deep going out from the window with a slight overhang over the brickwork.

On the front of the house though the sills fitted are stub sills of some description - the sills that were there previously were the same as those at the back of the house and the new ones show a fairly tatty stone lintel that has seen better days but was covered up by the previous sills.

Basically this looks poor in comparison to the job done at the back of the house,

I assumed window sills would be fitted as standard and never thought to question this before instalation.

the questions I have are :

Should we not have been given a choice regarding this ?

Will this be easy for the Double Glazing comany to rectify ?

They are sending someone round on Tuesday to take a look and explain but I know this will be to give us a load of old flannel about how lucky we are to have crap looking stubby window sills on the front as opposed to the good looking stuff they have fitted at the back.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

depends on d glazing Co

easy to rectify?

depends how windows were put in, why worry, not your problem.

i bet the old one of "you should have read the small print before you signed on the line" which is unfortunately true
