Hello,
I have an s plan system with zone valves for upstairs and downstairs controlled by 2 honeywell t6360. I had a st9400c but forgot to fuse down the switch from 13 a to 5 amp so have paid the price and fried it. I'm looking for a replacment, maybe a three chanel or similar, was thinking of trying a horstman or shall I just replace it?

Can someone recommend a replacement for the three zones I have?

Thanks in advance.......

I was looking at something like the HORSTMANN H37XL 3 CHANNEL programmer, it's twice as much though although I think it would allow me to control all the zones at separate times rather than by just using the thermostat for the upstairs zone. Does that sound right?
Previously I had downstairs and hotwater circuits coming on and off at different times the upstairs zone was just dependant on the thermostat setting.

Is it worth getting a 3 channel?

I would fit two programmable roomstats (my favourite is Danfoss TP5000) and then fit a single channel programmer to control HW.

Horstman is total crap.
Just stick the new version of the 9400 in. Makes sure you get one that is totally independent, whatever you choose.

In the absence of a controller and in the interim period I have just wired the boiler and the pump to the switched spur to turn the heating on and off.

This should be OK for a fully pumped worcester bosch greenstar oil burning condensing boiler ? I'm not going to do any damage?
I'm assuming that all the controller does is do this automaticaly?

Thanks
