Hi there,
We want to replace our conventional boiler with combi Vaillant or WB boiler. We have first floor two bed flat. We will stay with old radiators it is just a matter of getting rid of water tank and placing new boiler in the boilerroom. The pump needs to be removed from the bathroom.
We have got our first quote £750 plus materials around £200 and plus boiler.

What do you think about this?

Do we really need 24kw for 60 square meeters flat?

Thank you for all advice!

A more detailed description would be helpful ie powerflush/electrical work and any extras. 24kw is not excessive. The ch output can be rated to suit your property.24kw is the hw performance.Still seems a bit cheap on the face of it.

The price of the quote is ok. His recommendation for a 24 kW combi is not. If you select your installer on price, you are unlikely to get a top job done.

The only one extra is removal of water pump from the bathroom.

What is the normal quote for this type of job. With the boiler and material this job will be around £2000.

Do you think is cheap?

"Cheap" is everything thrown in and causing you trouble later.

Boiler + 750 + 200 doesn't equal £2000.

I'd suggest 28-30kW for good hot water.

You need more than one quote.

Cheap does not equal shoddy work as expensive does not equal top quality work.

Ask friend family wormates for a recommendation
