cold water pressure

hi all, ive just had to drain down a central heating system due to a bad leak. i drained down at the floor mounted boiler in the kitchen. the central heating system needs to be replaced so needs to be dry. system is indirect with f and e tank and main water tank in attic. since draining down i have poor water pressure on the cold taps apart from the kitchen tap which is on the rising main. the only valve that was closed is the f and e feed. is the problem an air lock? hot water is fine via immersion heater. any help would be appreciated.

You need to push mains water up the pipes, or use a wet vac.

Sounds like an air lock, but cant see the fact that you have drained the heating having anything to do with it tbh....

thanks chris r. how/where do i use a wet vac? do u mean on a tap to draw the air out Would a push fit hose fit on a pair of taps to clear the air lock? but if it did i would be contaminating the potable water supply.

Yes wet vack over the tap not working and create a seal with your hand mate.
