Disconnecting Cold Feed to Boiler

A quick one that I am sure someone can answer quickly.

I need to replace some of the plastic pipe I ran run with copper tube. Doing this will mean that I will have to disconnect the cold feed to my combi boiler. Can someone confirm whether there is a valve in the boiler which will close when I turn it off? And subsequently no water will come down through the boiler?

there is usually an isolater on the cold feed into the boiler

second pipe in from the right look under the boiler and you will see the valve
