timber gutter

whats the best/quickest/easyist way to remove timber guttering?
and the best way to join timber to upvc? icon_confused.gif

To remove the guttering i have always used a 20 megaton thermonucleaur device, and to join timber to pvc most people used oxyacetylene welding torches
