Hi,
I was wondering- can anyone help?

Our circuit blew and one of our light swiches tripped out- the switch is now stuck in the 'on' position and won't go back. Is there anyway they can be reset?

Thanks,
C

Do you mean " our light circuit main fuse tripped" and the fuse will no longer turn back on ?

It's unusual for a fuse to stay on and not go off, it's even more unusual for a light switch to stay on !

If you really mean the fuse, I'd suggest you press the test button on the rcd (if you have a rcd at the board), This will turn off all circuits and fuses controlled by the rcd.

You should then find the fuses can be switched on, once done reset the rcd on and everything should be ok !

If I'm talking chinese then please post up a picture of the problem and eloborate of the info and we can help further.

if you do really mean the switch, it might have burnt or welded contacts. Get a new one.

Is it stuck or just still tripping out, try switching the light that tripped off then reset MCB, swicth light back on and if it trips again, you have a fault on the circuit. If the MCB will not reset you could have faulty MCB.
But if it the light switch and not the MCB, get it replaced.
